Step 2. If you are using your blog in place of a website or temporarily until your website is built/online:

You can forward the url you just purchased to "point" at your blog url. Once your website is online simply remove the forwarding option so that readers go to your website when they visit your url. At NameCheap forwarding your url is free.

Note the highlighted "UFL Forwarding" option in the menu on the left sidebar below.
